Data Availability Policy
Diyala Journal of Engineering Sciences (DJES) encourages authors to make the data, materials, software, codes, models, and protocols supporting the findings of their research available whenever possible, in accordance with ethical, legal, and confidentiality requirements.
Authors should include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript. This statement should clearly indicate whether the data supporting the results are publicly available, available upon reasonable request, included within the article or supplementary materials, or not available due to ethical, legal, privacy, commercial, or technical restrictions.
Where possible, authors are encouraged to deposit research data in a recognized institutional, subject-specific, or general-purpose repository and provide the relevant link, DOI, or accession number in the manuscript. Data should be sufficiently documented to allow verification, reuse, and reproducibility where applicable.
If data cannot be made publicly available, authors should explain the reason clearly in the Data Availability Statement. In such cases, the journal may request access to the underlying data for editorial or peer-review purposes, while respecting confidentiality, privacy, legal rights, and proprietary restrictions.
Authors are responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and availability of the data associated with their manuscript. Fabrication, falsification, selective reporting, inappropriate manipulation, or misrepresentation of data constitutes unethical publication behavior and may lead to rejection, correction, expression of concern, or retraction, depending on the stage and severity of the case.
